Academy Of Country Music Announces New Artist Nominees
The Academy of Country Music has announced nominations for its best new artist categories. Luke Bryan, Jamey Johnson and Chris Young are all nominated for the best new solo vocalist at the organization's upcoming award ceremony this spring.The event, set to take place in Las Vegas, will also feature Bomshel, Joey & Rory and Steel Magnolia competing for the honor of best vocal duo. The Eli Young Band, Gloriana and the Lost Trailers are up for the best vocal group award.
The Academy of Country Music is changing its best new artist awards this year. The top new solo vocalist category is replacing the top new male vocalist and top new female vocalist categories.
Fans will get to cast their vote for the best new group starting April 1.
Last year, the Zac Brown Band won best new duo or vocal group. Julianne Hough received the award for top new female vocalist and Jake Owen took home the top new male vocalist award.
