Hope For Haiti Now Expected To Top Charts
A compilation album designed to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200.The chart will officially be released on Wednesday, but the 20-track Hope for Haiti Now album sold nearly 150,000 in the week ending January 24, according to reports.
The album, which would become the first digital-only production to top the charts in the U.S., features songs from stars such as Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Jay-Z.
Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream was the early front-runner to top the charts after her recent appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The Hope for Haiti Now telethon reportedly raised more than $57 million.
