Jack Ingram has confirmed that "Free" will be the next single off his current album, Big Dreams & High Hopes. The track was produced by veteran producer Jay Joyce and is the third single to be released from the album.
"Free," slated to be released on January 25, will follow "Barefoot and Crazy," which peaked at number 10 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. According to the singer, the new single is a feel good track with a particular focus on the lyrics.
"The lyrical content is obviously what's on everybody's minds these days . . ." Ingram said in a press release. "What's important is all the stuff you don't have to pay for . . . they're the sights and sounds that make you forget all your problems."
"And musically, it just feels like a good day comin' on . . . it makes you want to go outside and take a big ol' breath of fresh air . . . it feels like a good start for 2010," he added.
Ingram hits the road this February for a string of acoustic dates he has dubbed the Acoustic Motel tour.
