Keith Urban is on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine. In the interview, the singer discusses not only his successful career, but also his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, and how his music is inspired by his life with her.
Urban explains that the song "My Heart Is Open" was inspired by a conversation that he and Kidman had early on in their relationship.
"My wife and I had been out a couple of times and I wondered how she felt about me," the 42-year-old says, describing the song's inspiration.
"It came out as, 'How is your heart?' She said, 'It's open,'" Urban remembers. "My God, what a beautiful answer."
This year is off to a good start for Urban. Along with landing the People cover, he also recently picked up a Grammy for best male country performance.
