Sara Evans is making several appearances this week to promote her recently released book, The Sweet By and By.
The singer appeared at Borders in New York's Columbus Circle on Wednesday and will appear at Birmingham, Alabama's Sam's Club at noon on Saturday. She also appeared at Davis Kidd Bookstore in Nashville's Green Hills Mall on Monday.
The novel centers around Jade Fitzgerald, a young woman who discovers religious faith as she confronts her stormy childhood in preparation for her own wedding. Some of the parts of the book are taken from Evans' own life.
"Not everything about the book is like my life," she told the Tennessean. "But just parts of it, like growing up in the Midwest on a farm and moving to the South and marrying a Southern boy."
The Sweet By and By, Evans' first book, was written with Rachel Hauck and is available now for $15.99 on the singer's website.
