Zac Brown Band have confirmed that they will perform at this year's MerleFest, which takes place in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, between April 29 and May 2. The group will perform on the main stage during the event's opening night and will also host the Midnight Jam, set to take place Saturday, May 1.
Brown joins a host of other top acts already scheduled for the event including Doc Watson, Elvis Costello and The Sugarcanes, Little Feat, The Avett Brothers, Dailey & Vincent, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage and Sam Bush.
The announcement comes at a busy time for Zac Brown Band, who are currently preparing for their upcoming appearance at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards on January 31. The group is nominated for three awards at the ceremony including best new artist, best performance by a group or duo ("Chicken Fried") and best country album (The Foundation).
The event will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 PM Eastern Time.
Tickets for MerleFest are available through www.merlefest.com and range from $40 for the Midnight Jam only through $2,500 for a special VIP package.
