George Strait Mourns Loss Of Longtime Road Manager Tom Foote

Tom Foote, former drummer and road manager for George Strait for the past 48 years has died.

The King of Country posted: “The band and I were with him most of the afternoon and he was great. Just doing what he loved to do which was making sure we were taken care of.” He went on to say: “2024 is taking its toll on the Ace in the Hole group. We’re all heartbroken to say the least. Rest in peace brother Tom. You will be hugely missed. I’ll see you down the road amigo.” Foote’s cause of death has not been announced.

In March, George’s (overall) manger, Erv Woolsey passed away and the following day, his fiddle player, Gene Elders died.

Along with his Ace In The Hole band, George has been in rehearsals for the stadium tour that kicks off in Indianapolis this Saturday, May 4.
