Shania Twain shared her personal thoughts about her failed marriage during a chat with the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast. She revealed that she doesn’t harbor any lingering hatred towards her ex-husband, music producer Robert “Mutt” Lange”, even though he had an affair with one of Twain’s close friends, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Twain and Lange were married from 1993 until 2008, and they have a 22-year-old son, Eja D’Angelo Lange, together.

“Forgiveness is in the family of letting go. But forgiveness, more specifically for me anyway, is not about forgetting necessarily,” said Twain. “It’s about understanding the other person, and that might mean that they’re wrong. Maybe you believe forever that whatever they did was wrong. It’s his mistake, not my mistake. So sad for him that he made such a great mistake that he has to live with.” (Billboard)
