Lainey Wilson Performs With The Rolling Stones In Chicago

Lainey Wilson not only opened for the Rolling Stones on their current Hackney Diamonds North American Tour, the country superstar also got to sing with them during their show Sunday night at Soldier Field in Chicago. In a video clip from the gig, Mick Jagger is heard thanking Wilson for her opening set, and then surprised everyone by calling her back out to the stage. Jagger asks Wilson what song they should do together, and the crowd roars their approval when she suggests “Dead Flowers,” the classic track from the Stones’ legendary 1971 album, Sticky Fingers. Jagger also approved of Wilson’s choice, and grabbed his guitar and a cowboy hat while the band launched into the spirited number. Wilson has history with the Stones, as she  took part in the record, Stoned Cold Country, featuring Stones tracks reworked as country songs. Wilson put her countrified twist on the iconic, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” for the album. (Taste of Country)
