The beloved Bakersfield, California live music venue, Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace, has been put up for sale after nearly 30 years of operation. The space was designed by the iconic Country Music Hall of Famer, and it has been listed for sale by the Buck Owens Foundation, which has overseen the operation of the venue since Owens’ death in 2006. “A combination of this business climate and the wishes of the Owens family members to step back from the responsibilities of management requires finding new owners to utilize this beautiful venue,” the foundation wrote on Facebook. “We know Buck would want us to thank the people of Bakersfield and fans from around the world for all of their support over the past 28 years. If you have tickets to any upcoming Crystal Palace concert, all events are continuing as planned.” (Desert Sun)
