Machine Gun Kelly And Jelly Roll Drop Music Video For Their John Denver-Inspired Single, “Lonely Road”

Operation KellyRoll has officially begun. On Friday, Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll finally released their long-rumored country collaboration, “Lonely Road,” which was inspired by the John Denver classic, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” MGK and Jelly also just shared a Sam Cahill-directed music video for their new song, which finds the music superstars portraying  struggling car mechanics looking to get rich quick. The duo’s significant others, Megan Fox and Bunnie XO, also make guest appearances in the clip, with Fox having to downplay pregnancy rumors after MGK is seen kissing her prosthetic pregnant belly in the clip.

“We worked on “Lonely Road” for 2 years, 8 different studios, 4 different countries, changed the key 4 times, and this Friday you’ll hear we finally got it right,” MGK wrote on Instagram. The collab quickly reached #1 on the US iTunes chart, with MGK also making a 7-inch single for the song available on his merch store, backed by “one of the 60 demo’s i did for the song on the b side. Enjoy.” (Rolling Stone)
