Following Maren Morris’ divorce from her ex-husband Ryan Hurd, the country star is ready to move on to a “new chapter” of both her music career and personal life. In an Instagram video, Morris shared insight into the inspiration behind her forthcoming EP, Intermission, which arrives on Friday, August 2. “Calling this project Intermission was intentional,” reveals Morris. “It’s obviously a lyric at the end of the song ‘Cut!,’ [the EP’s lead single featuring Julia Michaels] but it’s also meaning that there’s more to come. It’s a break in the act, and for me, it’s definitely an act break and new chapter of my life, and I’m so ready to see what’s on the other page. (People)
