Cody Johnson Reveals He’s Working On New Projects With ‘Yellowstone’ Creator Taylor Sheridan

During a recent interview with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, Cody Johnson shared that he initially had to turn down a coveted role on Yellowstone because of conflicts with his schedule. But that isn’t stopping the country superstar from continuing to discuss future acting possibilities with the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan. “We’ve tried a couple of times [to appear on Yellowstone] and my schedule is too busy to put aside the time,” Johnson disclosed. “We’re looking ahead to the future. There’s a few movie things where I’m like, ‘Look, if you guys give me the notice I can make this happen.”

Sheridan has a history of featuring country stars in his shows, with Lainey Wilson starring in a recurring role on Yellowstone, Ryan Bingham’s memorable portrayal of Walker, and actor-musician Luke Grimes was a star on Yellowstone star before he launched his country music career. Johnson, meanwhile, has recently added 10 more dates to his wildly successful Leather Tour, which hits Denver for a two-night stand at Fiddler’s Green on August 16-17. (Billboard)
